About Find Hairstyle Now

I used to have zero sense of what a good haircut could do

This site exists because I learned that lesson late — and wanted to save other women the guesswork.

My story

I’m Aisha Shakeel — and for most of my life, I genuinely didn’t care about hairstyles or haircuts.

It wasn’t rebellion or low maintenance as a personality trait. I just never thought about it. A haircut was a haircut. I’d sit in the chair, say “just trim it,” and leave without a second thought about whether it actually suited me, my face, or my hair type.

That changed as I got older. Slowly, I started noticing the difference a genuinely good haircut makes — not just in photos, but in how I felt walking into a room. The right cut wasn’t vanity. It was confidence I didn’t know I was missing out on.

“Once I understood what I’d been ignoring for years, I couldn’t unsee it.”

So I did what I do best — I started researching. Obsessively. Face shapes, hair textures, what actually works for fine hair versus thick hair, which cuts age well and which don’t, what stylists mean when they use certain terms. I fell down the rabbit hole, and I loved every minute of it.

Somewhere in that process, it hit me: if I’d needed this much clarity, other women probably did too. That’s the entire reason Find Hairstyle Now exists — I wanted to build the resource I wish I’d had years earlier, one that treats hairstyles as something worth taking seriously, without being overwhelming or overly technical.

Today, this site is where I put all of that research to use — curating and organizing hairstyles and haircuts by hair type, face shape, and occasion, so you can walk into a salon knowing exactly what to ask for, instead of guessing the way I used to.

What this site stands for

Clarity over trends

We’d rather show you what actually suits your face shape and hair type than chase whatever’s trending this month.

Organized, not overwhelming

Every style is sorted by hair type, length, and occasion — so you find what applies to you, fast.

Made for real women

Every age, every hair type, every occasion. Not just one narrow beauty standard.

How we put each guide together

Research

We start with the question, not the trend

Each guide starts from a real question — “what suits fine hair over 50,” not “what’s viral right now.”

Curate

Every style is reviewed for fit

We sort through dozens of examples per topic and keep only the ones that clearly show the technique.

Organize

Sorted by hair type, shape, occasion

So you can go straight to what applies to you instead of scrolling an endless generic list.

Update

Guides get revisited, not left stale

We come back to older guides as new styles and techniques become worth including.
